Gardening Soon? Don’t ‘Spring’ Into Back Pain

I’ll often drive around during this time of year on a nice day just to watch people taking care of their home and garden.

Half-jokingly I say to myself, “I should leave them my business card.”

Just by observing the position a person works in, I can predict what type of back pain they will have.

Getting stuck bent forward?

Lifting and twisting with a weight in hand?

Looking up and working overhead for 2 hours?

These will all bring on a certain type of pain.

The nice thing is that it’s easily preventable. Creating the awareness is first.

If you know you will be cleaning or gardening soon and you haven’t been in lately, this may be a great time to check in so that you avoid a serious problem later.

As always, please just reply to this blog if you are interested.
