I get this question all the time.
“How much protein should I be eating every day?”
Truthfully, in many cases Googling this is not your friend as you will end up more confused than when you started!
Some people say:
1g protein per 1lb body weight
…some say way less
So, how do we know what to do?
Let’s just take a very common sense approach to this and just start here:
If each meal was comprised of mostly lean protein and veggies, this is a really great start.
In addition, I recommend most people take one protein shake per day as this is the easiest way to get between 25-50 g extra of protein.
If you are eating 3 meals per day and one shake of mainly protein, this will move you along the right direction.
